ArcelorMittal is the world’s leading steel and mining company, this steel manufacturer is the largest producer of steel in Europe and North America, the second in Africa and the sixth in the CIS region. In 2020, ArcelorMittal generated a turnover of $53.3 billion, with crude steel production of 71.5 million metric tons and iron ore production of 58 million metric tons.

In Spain, ArcelorMittal has 11 industrial plants and 17 distributions centers throughout the country. The production in Spain in 2020, was more than 4 million tons of steel, which represents 37.6% of national production.

SOLUTION PROPOSED BY ATEX DELVALLE ENGINERING TEAM

As a part of the latest remodeling of the Arcelomittal plant in Asturias, Atex Delvalle supplied Ex terminal boxes for the connectors of the new boiler.

Due to the type of installation, it is necessary to ensure the operation of the automatism in an aggressive environment with high temperatures in Atex Zone 2, so our Ex terminal box, Terbox Series, is the perfect solution since with the silicon gasket we get that the boxes can support a temperature of 135ºC.

This, together with our Glakor^® unarmored Ex cable glands made of nickel plated brass and with special Atex 5-pin socket for high temperature, guarantees the perfect operation in hazardous areas.
