In Bacalhau, off the coast of Brazil, investments have been made in a new FPSO unit that will be permanently moored at an approximate depth of 2,050 meters and will be one of the largest in Brazil. It will have a large topside designed to produce up to 220,000 barrels of crude oil per day and notably, it will utilize a combined-cycle power system as a solution to help reduce CO2 emissions.
The response focused from the outset on saline environments with high humidity and temperature; for this purpose, we proposed a painted stainless steel electrical enclosure from the Tribex Series, made of AISI 316L with increased safety. This enclosure is capable of withstanding all external weather conditions along the coast due to its high corrosion resistance in Atex environments. This ensures the perfect sealing of both the installation and the electrical contents.
