Duqm refinery with an area of 9 km2, is located on the coast of the Arabian Sea, 600 km south of the capital of Oman and is part of the government’s plans for the development and exploitation of the area. The production is going to start in 2022, with the capacity of process 230.000 barrels per day (bpd).
The task was based on the supply of corrosion resistant Atex control boxes for coke and sulphur handling system at the Duqm refinery. To ensure the optimal operation with all the guarantees and certifications for hazardous areas, we supplied as solution our customized isolation switch and push button junction boxes, Luxorex-Contrex Series, made of stainless steel and with wiring included for zones 1, 2, 21 and 22.
