The BP Castellón refinery is located on the Mediterranean coast of Valencia. This refinery focuses its activity on the refining and commercialization of both petroleum products and biofuels; and it has a crude processing capacity od 110.000 barrels per day, which is equivalent to 6 million tons per year.
As part of the latest refurbishment of the BP Castellón refinery, Atex Delvalle supplied an Ex pressurized control panel, for a gas analyser installed in this refinery.
Due to the type of installation (refinery) the useful life of the automation must be ensured in hazardous areas (Zone 1); for this reason, our pressurized cabinet with push button, Peppex Series, becomes the ideal solution to incorporate an HMI and an internal PLC. This system is completed by flameproof enclosures, thus providing a safe area inside of the cabinet.
