The Gaviota storage facility is located in the Bay of Biscay, 8km off Cape Matxitxako, North East of Bermeo (Biscay); Gaviota is one of two underground natural gas storage facilities operating in Spain.
The task is to supply terminal boxes for the connection of torch sensors that safely remove excess waste gases, which cannot be processed.
To ensure perfect operation for as long as possible with all the guarantees, we carried out a complete study and we provided as solution stainless steel Atex enclosures, Terbox Series. This box stands out for its robustness and high resistance to corrosion and it is used in hazardous areas classified as zones 1, 21, 2 and 22.
